Author: Aslan UarziatyDownload

Description of two groups of people: Hypocrites and believers

Sura 2. Al-Baqarah - The Heifer - Part 5 - Brief Explanation
204. And of the people is he whose speech pleases you in worldly life, and he calls Allāh to witness as to what is in his heart, yet he is the fiercest of opponents.

205. And when he goes away, he strives throughout the land to cause corruption therein and destroy crops and animals. And Allāh does not like corruption.

206. And when it is said to him, "Fear Allāh," pride in the sin takes hold of him. Sufficient for him is Hellfire, and how wretched is the resting place.

207. And of the people is he who sells himself, seeking means to the approval of Allāh. And Allāh is Kind to [His] servants.

This verse is true. The religious servants should move from words to deeds in order to protect the nations from darkness and fulfil the holy commandments.

Accept Islam in its entirety

208. O you who have believed, enter into Islām completely [and perfectly] and do not follow the footsteps of Satan. Indeed, he is to you a clear enemy.

209. But if you slip [i.e., deviate] after clear proofs have come to you, then know that Allāh is Exalted in Might and Wise.

In order to prevent people from distinguishing the true texts in the Quran from those of the falsifiers, they are advised not to reflect but to believe blindly in everything that is written in this book. In the above-mentioned suras, however, you will find the texts that come from conscience. There are many such texts, but there are just as many falsified passages as there are in the Bible, the Tanakh and the writings of other religions. These falsifications seem to come from a single source.

Those who have inserted falsifications in the holy book say, "Embrace Islam fully and do not follow the ways of the devil," and in doing so promote further division in the community. The division of the peoples only serves the interests of the devil.

Examples of wisdom and an appeal to unity

Read the words of a true warrior of the Almighty and the true follower of the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad. Here are these words:

"Another important point in connection with Islamic unity is foresight and the renunciation of fanaticism. This means that before acting or speaking, all Muslims should think about the consequences of their actions without any fanaticism. Fanaticism is the beginning of division and the end of cohesion and unity. In other words, fanaticism means insisting on one's own ignorance, ignoring logic and arguments, and this can contribute to the fall of both the individual and society as a whole, regardless of whether it is religious, ethnic, political or partisan fanaticism". (Religious Unity and Brotherhood from the Perspective of the Holy Quran and Hadith - Pars Today)

Here are more words of wisdom. Read them carefully and immerse yourself in the essence of their wisdom. In the 192nd sermon, Imam Ali  impressively describes the importance of unity to avoid religious conflicts:

Look, how they were when their groups were united, their views were unanimous, their hearts were moderate, their hands used to help one another, their swords were intended for assisting one another, their eyes were sharp and their aims were the same. Did they not become masters of the corners of the earth and rulers over the neck of all the worlds? Thereafter, also see what happened to them towards the end when division overtook them, unity became fractured, and differences arose between their words and their hearts. They divided into various groups and were scattered fighting among themselves. Then Allah took away from them the apparel of His honour and deprived them of the prosperity produced by His favours. Only their stories have remained among you for the guidance of those who may learn the lesson from them. (Nahj al-Balagha, Sermon 192)

The goal of the Prophet Muhammad as a messenger of the Almighty was to restore the unified doctrine and unite all people. But those who follow the ways of the devil are trying to prevent this by dividing people into confessions and falsifying the holy scriptures. In the meantime, there were even approved several versions of the Quran! Isn't that a distortion of scripture, that there are different versions of the Quran? First the world was divided into religions, then these religions were divided into confessions, and finally the holy books were also divided into different versions. Unite and put aside all these invented divisions.

The faithful will be tested, just like the generations before them

213. Mankind was [of] one religion [before their deviation]; then Allāh sent the prophets as bringers of good tidings and warners and sent down with them the Scripture in truth to judge between the people concerning that in which they differed. And none differed over it [i.e., the Scripture] except those who were given it - after the clear proofs came to them - out of jealous animosity among themselves. And Allāh guided those who believed to the truth concerning that over which they had differed, by His permission. And Allāh guides whom He wills to a straight path.

214. Or do you think that you will enter Paradise while such [trial] has not yet come to you as came to those who passed on before you? They were touched by poverty and hardship and were shaken until [even their] messenger and those who believed with him said, "When is the help of Allāh?" Unquestionably, the help of Allāh is near.

The verse is true. However, one should not wait for help from the Almighty, but recognise that His help is always present. His counsels are to be heard through the voice of conscience. It is not only a matter of honouring the prophets, but also of fulfilling their covenants.

What Muslims should spend and on whom

215. They ask you, [O Muḥammad], what they should spend. Say, "Whatever you spend of good is [to be] for parents and relatives and orphans and the needy and the traveler. And whatever you do of good - indeed, Allāh is Knowing of it."

This is a marvellous verse, and it comes from the conscience.

About alcohol and gambling

219. They ask you about wine1 and gambling. Say, "In them is great sin and [yet, some] benefit for people. But their sin is greater than their benefit." And they ask you what they should spend. Say, "The excess [beyond needs]." Thus Allāh makes clear to you the verses [of revelation] that you might give thought

220. To this world and the Hereafter. And they ask you about orphans. Say, "Improvement for them is best. And if you mix your affairs with theirs - they are your brothers. And Allāh knows the corrupter from the amender. And if Allāh had willed, He could have put you in difficulty. Indeed, Allāh is Exalted in Might and Wise."

There is no benefit from intoxicating drinks and gambling. Even a small amount of alcohol consumed by a woman can affect the development of her child - even if she drank alcohol many years before conception. Men should stop drinking alcohol several years before conceiving a child.

It is pleasing that the majority of Muslims do not consume alcoholic beverages, while it is regrettable that in some cultures the deceased are commemorated with alcohol. Alcohol should not be served at funeral services as those present should pay respect to the deceased and their loved ones.

Both alcohol and gambling come from satanists who take advantage of people's ignorance and weakness. Resist these temptations!
