There are a lot of reasoning about the hexagon, tracing back to ancient times. In her work "The Secret Doctrine III", specifically chapter XI: "The Hexagon with the Central Point, or the Seventh Key", Helena Blavatsky explored the symbolic significance of this shape and its internal structure. She wrote:
"For if Pythagoras viewed the hexagon formed of two crossed triangles as the symbol of creation, and the Egyptians, as that of the union of fire and water (or of generation), the Essenes saw in it the Seal of Solomon, the Jews the Shield of David, the Hindus the Sign of Vishnu (to this day); and if even in Russia and Poland the double triangle is regarded as a powerful talisman - then so widespread a use argues that there is something in it."
The question remains why Blavatsky referred to the central point of the hexagon as the "seventh key". She wrote in this regard:
"The seventh key is the hieroglyph of the sacred septenary, of royalty, of the priesthood [the Initiate], of triumph and true result by struggle. It is magic power in all its force, the true “Holy Kingdom." "The Secret Doctrine III, Chapter XI"
Throughout the teaching times in the cycle of our civilisation, neither Helena Blavatsky nor the initiated sages of all nationscould have known the secret of the six-pointed star. It was only by the will of the Almighty that this and other secrets were revealed to the world.
The following can be said here: The seventh key in the centre of the six corners is the intersection of the two lines of an equilateral cross, which consists of two lines emanating from the corners of the six-pointed star. However, the modern depiction of the "Shield of David" is not quite correct.
The point is that there are two sacred hexagons, not one. Both are inseparable from each other. Each of the four triangles comes from the seven lampstands. They go out in directions at certain angles set by the lampstands. Each pair of triangles forms a six-pointed star in the directions given by the angles of the stars.These directions cannot even be adjusted, just as it is impossible to alter anything in the system of the seven lampstands.No computational machine is capable of altering the system of the seven lampstands of God.
Both stars combine to form an eight-pointed star, within which lies an equilateral cross, inscribed by the very system of the seven lampstands. From the equilateral cross, the centre point is the ninth part of the eight-pointed star.
There is no more sacred, more powerful, more Divine sign than the sacred eight-pointed star. From it originates the sacred cube, which is the "building block" of all exist in the universe.

The eight-pointed star is formed by the overlay of the cross and the two hexagons. And all of these figures have manifested from the sacred lampstands of God. It's not a fitting of numbers. If you studied the level of the seven lampstands, you would have no doubt that they come from the Almighty. No one in the universe is capable of creating something similar.
This symbol of the eight-pointed star has been known since ancient times. Its depiction originates from a previous civilisation that completed its full cycle on Earth. Our civilization was unaware of the precise origins of this symbol in its specific form, as the "seven lampstands" remained sealed to our world until a designated time.
The mystery of the origin of the triangles in the six-pointed star, the mystery of the eight-pointed star, the cube, and other secrets were revealed in the first part of the book. A limited intellectual understanding makes it difficult for many of today's representatives of religious communities to recognise this.
